You will be practicing writing extensively and receive regular constructive feedback that will let you improve on your style, grammar, organization and vision.Research methodologies; critical analysis; writing for every mode and genre; student-led seminars; community projects; publication in campus journals; independent research and project options available.Practicum course offerings include experiential learning in creative writing, digital creation in a literary context or writing in the arts.Other initiatives such as the 905 Road Show: Creativity Cabaret, using the power of narrative to forge connections between individuals and communities, have also helped bring creative writers to Sheridan — and foster a culture of literary appreciation on campus.Pursue your passion for writing in a guided environment.This is one of 10 bachelor of arts programs that share a one-year foundation.Double major options available after first year: English and history, or English and philosophy.*Actual minimum grade ranges required for Fall 2019 admission/wait list consideration will be determined based on grades and qualifications presented by the applicant pool as they become available.Required grade ranges may fluctuate from year to year (up or down) as a result of competition.You will also study the importance of working as part of an editing team to help produce acceptable full length manuscripts.You should already possess competent English language skills including basic grammar (or Writing Grammatically - LANG 35).
