Throughout the movie Will comes into contact with three other people that will play an important role in Will’s quest on finding himself.
In the film, Good Will Hunting, main character Will Hunting is a troubled young man from a poor neighborhood in south Boston.
He is violent because he was probably beaten as a child and as hegrew up he learned to handle his problems through violence.
He kept up this behavior because hewas never punished severely enough to get him to stop.
Because Will blames himself he is unable to maintain a steady job or a steady relationship.
Will must learn to overcome his fear of abandonment in order to learn how to trust and love people who Will is used to being abandoned and when Skylar asks him to go to California with her he does not think she is serious.
